The Board Service offer a fast, efficient and reliable service to the residential and commercial Estate and Letting agent industry.

We provide both a residential and commercial sign erection service, meaning we can handle projects of all shapes and sizes. The demand for a professional and reliable board service led us to develop our own in 2002 and our client list continues to grow throughout the South East.

On a daily basis our vans will be working in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Larkfield, Kings Hill, Maidstone, Paddock Wood, Uckfield and Crowborough to name but a few of the areas we cover.

We have 4 vans out on the road every day and are currently serving around 165 different local offices both residentially and commercially in addition to national contracts.

We embrace modern technology with a bespoke online database system designed specifically for the industry and also use GPS tracking on the complete fleet so can be as reactive as possible to customer needs and access real time data of job statuses.

Residential

We are an established company who take pride in providing a professional and cost effective service to the residential estate and letting agent industry. The service we offer can be illustrated as follows:

An online database giving you the ability to order work or check the status of any property/instruction, 24/7.
All work will be completed within 2 working days of receipt of instructions, but frequently same or next day.
We provide 2”x2” white painted posts if desired.
Professional computer cut vinyl information slips available.
All work undertaken within a 10/15 mile driving radius of your office.

Commercial

We have a large and growing commercial client list and can provide and erect bespoke signage or utilise your existing stock. Working with both local commercial agents and also with national accounts, we are able to use our many years of experience to provide an efficient and professional service.

Online Database & App

We have worked with industry leaders to build a bespoke online database that will allow an agent to order, manage, monitor and search through all previous work and invoicing.

Jobs are signed off in real time and pictures added online for you to be able to view.

There are also reminders and notifications built into the system to highlight any issues with an instruction and also helpful reminders when boards could be ready for collection.

Bespoke QR Codes & Information Slips

We can produce professional QR codes and information slips on request to enhance the marking of a property and engage better with prospective customers.

Recycling Scheme

We introduced a new recycling service in 2010 because all companies aspire to have green credentials and enjoy the many benefits that can be associated with being environmentally responsible. We have researched and created a service that should be a strong asset to your business.

The estate agent boards that are used are made of Correx which is a thermoplastic polymer known as polypropylene. This material can be difficult to recycle locally with few outlets in the county so the damaged boards tend to end up in landfill through either the commercial or domestic refuse streams.

Polypropylene can take up to 500 years to degrade so the estate and letting agent industry need to take responsibility for the huge quantity of boards that come to the end of their usable life.

There are three strong reasons why as a company, you need to take responsibility and also reap the benefits of being part of a recycling scheme:

Legal – All businesses have a Duty of Care under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to take all reasonable steps to keep waste safe and arrange for its legal disposal. This Duty applies to waste of any nature, associated with your business from your business premises, a work place or even a residential property. You are legally obliged to dispose of your business waste safely and this usually entails entering into a Trade Waste Agreement with a contractor. This will be increasingly relevant as the Governments waste strategy is further enforced.
Moral – We have a moral responsibility to try and reduce and ultimately eliminate all waste plastic being placed into the ground and for it to be re-used effectively.
Publicity – Companies with effective environmental strategies can use this as a strong sales point. Again, this will become more and more important in the future.

So what service are we offering?

To comply with the regulations, all waste polypropylene will be stored for future recycling by us once it is damaged beyond use.

The damaged boards will be cleaned, baled and transported to an approved recycling centre. The waste will be granulated and the re-used in applications such as garden furniture.

We are an accredited waste storage facility licensed by the Environment Agency.
